Foto Mega-post.

Day trip to Salt Spring Island equals lots of great stuff to take photos of. I hope you like...

It would probably be cheaper to BUY that scooter than to pay 125.9 for gas

There weren't too many good things in this free box but we did get a romance novel called "Wind of the Wolves". The cover features a man wearing all suede avec much fringe. There is a foto of it somewhere but I haven't been through everything I took yet.

Lovely little church on the way to/from Ganges.

There was a very sweet cemetary at this church. It was tiny but a lot of the graves and beautiful black and white photos and shell necklaces on them. There was also a grave that bees were going in and out of and seemed like they were using as a hive which I found incredibly fascinating. I was unable to take a shot where you could see the bees but there are other shots of the graveyard which I will add to flickr eventually.

We got tea and walked out on this pier. Though it was a very windy day it was still beautiful.

I get ridiculously excited about deer. No one else here gets it but I insist that any vehicle I'm in be pulled over so I can go look at a deer if ever I see one.

There is a story that goes with this particular foto but it is turning out to be a "you had to be there" type tale in my experience this far. Essentially it involves Natalie and I being almost certain that these animals (a donkey, a llama and a horse.) were stuffed because they were standing so still they were like some freakish nativity scene till all of a sudden one moved and terrified me.

A cruise ship was in and this man was obviously from it. Natalie and I decided he had never eaten an ice cream cone before and thought we would give it a go "for the laughs. like all the plebes do."

Just as we had left to catch the ferry it started to rain.

My friend Cookie got into town from Vancouver at the same time as we returned from Salt Spring so we squished him and his bike into the back seat of Natalie's car and away we went. Later that night we went to Lucky Bar and danced our faces off for an hour but I did not bring my camera so you'll just have to take my word on how cute we all looked. Thanks for looking at my foto parade!

  3. I appreciate the pastoral still life even more, having heard your description of the events leading up to and after. Good to see you again, Kristy. Great to see more of your work.

  5. Also, Is that church heading north into Ganges? Looks similar to the one we had my grandfathers memorial at.
